CIWS delivers mental health support, youth economic empowerment, and community wellbeing services — reaching the people mainstream institutions leave behind.
Community Impact & Wellbeing Solutions (CIWS) was founded in February 2026 and formally registered on 19 April 2026 under Tanzania's NGOs Act (Cap. 56). We are headquartered in Tabata-Aroma, Ilala District — a community with high youth unemployment and unmet mental health needs.
Our founders are not outsiders to the problem. They are academics, clinicians, finance experts, and consultants who have spent their careers working at the intersection of health, education, and community development — in Tanzania and internationally.
A self-sustained network of empowered individuals and strengthened communities, supported by accessible mental health and wellbeing services across Tanzania.
To create safe, inclusive environments that promote holistic wellbeing, build resilience, reduce mental health stigma, and strengthen community connections through education, advocacy, and engagement.
Integrity · Community Empowerment · Wellbeing & Dignity · Community Education · Collaboration & Partnership

From mental health counselling to digital enterprise training — CIWS delivers evidence-based, community-embedded interventions that create lasting change across Tanzania's most underserved populations.
Professional-grade psychosocial support, counselling, and resilience-building programs led by Dr. Khadija Malima (MUHAS Head of Nursing, PhD Bergen) and anchored in evidence-based clinical practice. We reduce mental health stigma and build community-level coping capacity.
Targeted programs equipping unemployed graduates and youth (18–35) in Dar es Salaam with enterprise skills, digital literacy, mentorship, and pathways to economic independence. We bridge the gap between academic qualification and real-world opportunity.
Gender-sensitive programs addressing the specific needs of women, girls, children, and families — from education access and protection to economic participation, with a minimum 50% women's participation target across all CIWS activities.
Community-level education on sustainable practices, climate adaptation, and environmental stewardship. We raise awareness of Tanzania's ecological challenges and mobilise communities to protect their natural heritage for future generations.
Compassionate outreach and structured support for the elderly, orphans, widows, and people with disabilities — ensuring Tanzania's most vulnerable citizens are not left behind by economic growth. We provide both material support and psychological accompaniment.
Evidence-based research led by Dr. David Penford Machaku (PhD, MUHAS Researcher & Lecturer) examining how communities receive, process, and act on information. Research outputs inform policy advocacy and generate publishable evidence for Tanzania's development ecosystem.
Tanzania's first community-embedded digital youth enterprise platform — integrating AI-ready skills training, venture incubation, and professional wellbeing support in a single, accessible hub in Tabata-Aroma, Dar es Salaam.
12-week AI-enabled curriculum: digital literacy, mobile commerce, fintech, business planning, and investment readiness. Four cohorts over 24 months training 50 youth each.
6-month structured incubation for top graduates: mentorship from expert advisors, legal structuring, market linkages, and preparation for investor showcases every quarter.
Led by Dr. Khadija Malima (MUHAS), every cohort receives entrepreneurial resilience training, peer support circles, and mental health literacy — the evidence-based differentiator no other incubator provides.

Whether you are an individual professional, a corporate partner, a researcher, or a community organisation — there is a meaningful and impactful role for you in Tanzania's wellbeing ecosystem.
CIWS welcomes skilled professionals who want to contribute their time and expertise to community wellbeing. We particularly need healthcare professionals, educators, digital skills trainers, social workers, and community organisers.
Channel your organisation's Corporate Social Responsibility investment through CIWS Enterprise Connect — a structured, evidence-generating, compliance-ready platform that transforms CSR into measurable youth enterprise outcomes, complete with quarterly impact reports.
CIWS's MUHAS academic partnership and Dr. Machaku's research position make us an ideal partner for researchers, PhD students, and institutions studying community health, youth enterprise, digital skills uptake, and wellbeing interventions in Tanzania.
CIWS actively seeks complementary organisations — local NGOs, international development agencies, government institutions, faith-based organisations, and community SACCOs — for programme co-delivery, referral networks, and joint funding applications.
Every contribution — from individuals, diaspora, or organisations — funds mental health services, digital skills training, and community support for Tanzania's most vulnerable people. CIWS operates transparently under Tanzanian law with annual audits and quarterly reporting.
In Tabata-Aroma, over 1.2 million unemployed youth graduates have no structured pathway to enterprise. No digital skills access. No mental health support. CIWS Enterprise Connect changes that — but we need seed funding to launch the first cohort, equip the hub, and hire our training team.

Funds one month of psychosocial wellbeing support sessions for a cohort of 10 youth entrepreneurs
Provides seed incubation support for one promising youth-led venture to reach investor-readiness stage
